Joy Metropolitan Community Church July Share The Plate partner
The mission of Joy Metropolitan Community Church (Joy MCC) is taking the doors off the church and the church to the streets.
Joy MCC is the spiritual home to a multi-cultural, inclusive, and diverse community of faith. We are rooted in the life, ministry, and teachings of Jesus. We experience a vibrant spirituality that is positive, practical, and progressive.
Joy MCC is called to:
- Fill Searching Hearts by sharing the Good News of God’s unconditional love for all people and providing paths for healing and growth wherever people are in their lives.
- Feed Hungry People by personal acts of compassion to help those in need and by participating in collective efforts to support the hungry and those experiencing homelessness.
- Fight for Justice by advocacy and actions to end inequality, poverty, and other forms of injustice.
1U supports the outreach goals of joy mcc and all year as 1U members and friends contribute to the Food Bank and assist Joy’s outreach work as asked.

May Day March for Our Dreams
Lake Eola amphitheater was filled with central Floridians supporting constitutional freedoms and dreams. Many groups spoke, and our local congressman, Maxwell Frost, supported the many groups in attendance for coming together for the upcoming challenges.
Sharing LOVE in the face of state-sanctioned hate was the focus of this powerful rally. Giving hope to many marginalized groups – Dreamers, LGBTQ+, union organizers, resistance advocates – as we were reminded that we are working together for a better and fairer community.

We will be collecting them in Gore Hall at 1U Central. Our last day to collect is October 9, 2022. Thank you!
