Friedrich Nietzsche said, “to live is to suffer, to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering,” and from my experience he seems to correct, especially in the case of the marginalized. As we celebrate our LGBTQ+ siblings this month, I can’t help but wonder why it should require so much courage to simply be. Let’s explore.
