More than thirty people attended the first meeting of the Interfaith Environmental Alliance of Central Florida on Sunday, May 15. Some were on Zoom and others met at the Audubon Park Covenant Church. Mary Dipboye of the Green Team hosted the Zoom attendees and the Pastor Sarah Robinson hosted the discussion at the church.First there were breakout sessions where each person discussed their specific interests as related to the environment. Next, breakout groups focused on the following issues:
- Climate Change & Energy
- Land Use and Transportation
- Environmental Justice
- Soil, Water and Air
- Child and Youth Involvement
- Wildcard
- More meetings will follow. A focus for the group is expected to evolve soon.
