Earth Day at Lake Eola

Earth Day April 23, 2022

Friendly volunteers from 1U had a prime spot for their tent on Lake Eola with excellent walk-by traffic from 10-6 on Earth Day.

We engaged with numerous families, couples, singles and pods.   Children were enticed to color and throw the rings while volunteers chatted with the adults/parents in the group. The Fans of Equality got to be very popular as the temperatures rose into the 80s in the afternoon.

The 100 Black Women of Central Florida’s booth [see pix below] was educating folks about their Air Quality EPA grant focusing on Parramore and nearby neighborhoods. The Green Team hopes to connect with them on their initiatives.

Join the Green Team and live the 7th Principle (The interdependent web of life of which we are all a part) through Environmental Action. The next Green Team meeting is on May 21, 3 p,m. on Zoom. Write Mary at for the link.
